Promised Land is a TV series that aired on CBS from September 17, 1996 to May 20, 1999 for three seasons. It is a spinoff of Touched by an Angel.

(Note: The Diagnosis Murder episode “Promises to Keep” is the second part of a story that begins in the Promised Land episode “Total Security”. Much like Buffy/Angel or The Facts of Life/Different Strokes, characters travel between Promised Land and Touched by an Angel pretty fluidly, but the main idea is that recurring characters from Promised Land count as crossovers even if they were technically introduced in Touched by an Angel. Erasmus Jones does make an appearance in the Touched by an Angel episode “The Homecoming: Part 1” just prior to beginning his run on Promised Land.)
