(Note: Matthew “Stymie” Beard from the Our Gang/Little Rascals shorts appears in two episodes and seems to be credited as “Stymie”. Since the actor went by the name “Stymie” professionally I am unsure if this is meant to be the fictional character Stymie or the actor playing himself.)

(Note: The character of Florida Evans and her husband in Good Times do not share the same history and backstory as their counterparts in Maude. John Amos’ character’s name was changed to James Evans on Good Times.

Hanging In began as a backdoor pilot about Maude becoming a congresswoman before being reworked into two failed pilots about a Black congressman before finally being reworked again into a show where Maude’s Bill Macy plays a new character who is the president of a university. Throughout all of these versions, the Maggie Gallagher, Sam Dickey, and Pinky Nolan characters from Maude remained.)
