Hasselhoff and KITT appear as “themselves” on an episode of Diff’rent Strokes where Arnold visits the set of Knight Rider.

Michael Knight was not played but David Hasselhoff in Team Knight Rider but seen briefly from the back and played by a stunt double in the finale.)

(Note: The character of David Dalton first appeared in the Knight Rider episode “Mouth of the Snake” as a backdoor pilot. He then appeared in the TV movie Code of Vengeance as a proper pilot. The pilot was picked up for a show to be called Dalton and four episodes were produced. Two of these episodes aired as a second pilot called Dalton: Code of Vengeance II. The failure of the second pilot meant that production on the show was cancelled. NBC did eventually air all four episodes as a mini-series called Dalton's Code of Vengeance. The first one they aired in this format was “Rustler’s Moon”. I note all of this to explain why I don’t exactly put S01E01 next to “Rustler’s Moon”.)
