In an attempt to follow in the footsteps of familiar tales, Miller's Girl Flixtor screenplay yearns to push boundaries and explore new territories. Unfortunately, the lack of clarity in character motivations and the unexciting plot leave you questioning if any boundaries were truly pushed. Bartlett's exploration of youthful female desire is hindered by the uncomfortably romanticized framing, making it hard to decipher the intended meaning. The relationship between Miller and Cairo is already venturing into morally ambiguous territory.
