Inspired by a disturbing true crime incident in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the film Boneyard, which premiered in 2024, delves into the harrowing tale of eleven women and girls who vanished from the area between 2001 and 2005. Tragically, their remains were unearthed four to eight years later, in 2009, concealed in the arid terrain known as the West Mesa. These victims, aged 15 to 32, had been victims of sexual assault and brutal homicide. Despite investigations and questioning of potential suspects, the identity of the ruthless serial killer responsible for these atrocities remained a mystery.
