What distinguishes The Damned Flix tor is its individuality. Rather than depending on expensive costumes or showy effects, it creates an immersive and terrifying period piece using storyline, cinematography, and an awful feeling of doom. Odessa Young gives an emotionally charged portrayal as Eva, a young widow overwhelmed with overwhelming guilt and terror. From the heartbreaking opening scene that sets things in motion until the film's somber end, you can almost feel her misery, desperation, and internal conflict.
