In the story Float Afdah movie Waverly unexpectedly shows up at her aunt Rachel's house in the serene town of Tofino, British Columbia. She can't quite fathom how she summoned the bravery to embark on this journey. Having been studying medicine in Chicago and living on her own, her parents dropped her off and promptly returned to Taiwan. Rachel greets her with open arms, and Waverly decides to stay for a few days, which essentially translates to spending the entire summer there.
