Mark Andrew Labbett (born 15 August 1965) is a British quiz show personality. He is best known as one of the in-house quiz minds on The Chase, where he operates as “The Beast”. Per host Bradley Walsh, he has an almost insatiable appetite.

Labbett has a master’s degree in mathematics from Oxford University, and worked as a maths teacher before embarking on a quizzing career. He has appeared on Mastermind in 1999 and 2000, with his specialist subjects the Olympic games and The Simpsons respectively.

Labbett married his second cousin Katie in 2014. The two have one son. He is a supporter of Sheffield United Football Club.
