This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Wikiful does not own or control, or to individuals that Wikiful does not employ or manage.

Overview.
This policy outlines the information Wikiful collects, how we use that information, and how you can control how your information is shared. This Privacy Policy applies only to www.wikiful.com (the “Site”), which is operated by KapowCorp, Inc. (the "Company") and the services provided through the Site (the “Services”). Please be aware that when you follow a link to another site, this Privacy Policy does not apply, and Wikiful has no control over what information they collect from you. Please further note that in the event that this Privacy Policy conflicts with our Terms of Service, the Terms of Service controls. By visiting the Site or using the Service, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.
Essentially:
By using Wikiful, you agree to all the terms below. This privacy policy only applies to our site — if you follow a link to another site, Wikiful has no control over what information they may collect from you.
What Information Does Wikiful Collect?
In order to sign up for a Wikiful account, we require you to provide a username, a valid email address, and a password.
You have the ability to choose whether your wiki will be private or public.
If your wiki is private, we will not access it unless you submit a service ticket or otherwise grant us access. However, anonymized general data about private wikis may be used for general site analytics purposes.
If your wiki is public, any information contained in that wiki is accessible to the public and viewable by anyone who visits your wiki.
We won’t sell any user’s information. However, we may feature public wikis in marketing and advertising materials.
Wikiful’s servers and select third-party services such as Google Analytics and AdSense log some information whenever you access the Service — information such as your IP address, the time of your visit, your browser type and your browser's language setting.
If you send a communication to the Company, we may hold onto that communication so that we can respond appropriately, and so that we can incorporate your feedback to improve the Service.
Wikiful stores your wiki content (including text, images, maps, links, etc.) on secure servers, and this information can only be accessed according to the privacy settings you have selected for your wiki.
Essentially:
We collect information with the purpose of giving users a high-quality and personalized experience on our site.
We collect your registration and user profile data. Our servers also collect information used to make the website run faster and better.
If your wiki is private, we will not access it without your consent. If your wiki is public, it’s viewable by anyone who visits your wiki. You can change your wiki’s privacy settings at any time.
We don’t sell user information, period. We do collect some basic information via Google Analytics, AdSense, etc. And we may highlight cool public wikis in our marketing materials.
Cookies.
The Site includes cookies - a small file that lives in your web browser that helps the Service operate with full functionality (such as keeping you logged into the Site) – that collect information for Google Analytics, AdSense, and others. Most web browsers allow you to disable cookies, and you may continue to use the Service if you choose to disable cookies. However, some of the Service’s features may not function properly if cookies are disabled. Wikiful uses some of those cookies and the data tracked by some of those cookies in conjunction with various advertisers and advertising networks. Wikiful has no control over the cookies and other information collected by advertising and advertising networks which provide ads on the Site, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to the information collected in this manner.
Essentially:
Our site uses cookies to remember you and make sure your experience is as seamless as possible. You can still use Wikiful if you disable cookies, but the site may not function as well.
Third-party services that help us place ads on our wikis and analyze how our site is used also use cookies to collect information about visitors to our site.
Online Behavioral Advertising.
This site works with third parties, including advertising companies and website analysis firms, who use cookies to collect Non-Personally Identifiable Information ("Non-PII") when you visit our Site and third party sites about your surfing activities, such as IP address and user search data. This Non-PII, collected through cookies, is typically used by these third party advertising networks to serve you with advertisements tailored to meet your preferences and likely interests.
You can opt-out of receiving personalized ads from advertisers and ad networks that are members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”) or who follow the DAA Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising using their respective opt-out tools. The NAI's opt-out tool can be found here http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and the DAA's opt out tool can be found here http://www.aboutads.info/choices/. Note that opting-out does not stop information from being collected. However, if you opt-out, the applicable advertiser will not use any information collected from you for the purpose of displaying personalized ads.
Essentially:
Third-party services that help us place ads on our wikis use cookies, so that you’ll see ads that are likely to match your interests.

If the Company becomes involved in a merger or acquisition or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we will provide notice to you, via an update to this policy, of any personal information to be transferred and/or subject to a different policy.
We may also share with third parties aggregated, non-personal information, such as the number of new user registrations over a specific time period or the number of wikis created.
Essentially:
We may share information with affiliates and vendors (who must also adhere to this Privacy Policy) in order to provide our service, and we may share information where required by law. We may also share information with third-parties that help Wikiful provide services to you. However, we don’t sell user information — period.
