National Medical Cannabis Day™ is a national awareness holiday celebrated annually on November 5 commemorating the date of first U.S.-legalized medical cannabis with an organized dispensation format via Proposition 215-the Compassionate Use Act-on November 5, 1996.

In addition, National Medical Cannabis Day™ was established in memory of the Founder's late uncle whose only pain relief before death from a debilitating disease came from medical cannabis.

Existent research indicates the efficacy of medical cannabis in the treatment of numerous childhood and adult conditions from insomnia to epilepsy.
