It might be hard to believe, but Tarot is actually based on Nicholas Adams' Horrorscope. However, this is because co-writers and directors Spencer Cohen and Anna Hallberg crafted a screenplay that was excessively rough. The group of friends is briefly introduced early on in the movie, and before you know it, they all end up in the basement for a tarot card reading. Each of them meets their demise in a manner hinted at by their card reading. The subsequent events offer a mild dose of supernatural horror, but fail to deliver genuine fear or excitement.
