All Groups,
To begin this trip, as an entire group, please watch this video by the Amoeba Sisters! It will give you a basic understanding of the difference between Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic Cells, the organelles in Eukaryotic Cells (what we’ll be focusing on), and the difference between plant and animal cells! Once you’re done watching the video, move on to the Eukaryotic Cell Worksheet. Hint: this will directly help you to draw and label your plant and animal cells once you get to your poster
After you have completed both of these steps as a group, you’re ready to move on to your individual molecules! Please refer back to the groupings so you know which group you’re in AND which number is next to your name. Match the number you have on your name to the links and questions on your molecule’s page.
Once you have gathered all your information, compile all of it and then it’s time to make your poster! There are a few things that are required on the poster.
They are:
Drawing of one animal cell
Drawing of one plant cell
On each cell, you only need to label the organelles that are relevant to your molecule.
BUT DON’T FORGET TO DRAW THE REST OF THE ORGANELLES AS WELL, THEY JUST DON’T NEED TO BE LABELED
Drawing of the basic molecular structure of your molecule
Written definition of your molecule
Feel free to make it as colorful as you’d like! I will provide the poster board and all other materials needed!
